I-AAM (Interventions for African American Males)
The Community Family Life Center (CFLC) proudly introduces “I-AAM” (Interventions for African American Males), a mental health program designed for African American males ages 10-25, residing in zip codes 48197 and 48198.
This thoughtfully developed program provides comprehensive support, including case management for individuals and their families, individual therapy (with a focus on trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, or TF-CBT), group therapy, family therapy, community healing spaces, mindfulness practices, progressive relaxation, and conflict resolution and reconciliation services.
Staffed by three licensed clinical therapists with over 60 years of combined experience, the I-AAM program not only listens to the voices and experiences of Black males but also acknowledges and honors the traumatic realities they face in this country.
